Iguazu Falls is one of the greatest natural wonders in the world; it is located approximately 24 km from the place of the junction of Iguazu and Parana rivers. There are wine regions to the west of Buenos Aires, around the vibrant city of Mendoza. El Calafate is a city of Southern Patagonia, near Glacier National Park, with its famous Perito Moreno glacier. This glacier divides the Argentine lake in two parts - the South and the Rich Sea. On the Atlantic coast of Argentina the Peninsula Valdes is situated. This is a unique area, a place of concentration of marine life, home to huge flocks of seagulls, flamingos, cormorants and penguins. It is a place where whales’ families come to give birth. The period of the whales’ habitation in these waters drag on from June to December. The southernmost region of Argentina is Isla Grande de Tierra Del Fuego, a group of 40,000 islands and the closest point to the Antarctic. | |
